PHP Application, Back-End Programmer

A great opportunity for a talented individual. MediaEquals is a fast growing online business developing a major online service for the media industry.
We are looking to hire an exceptional PHP application developer with a keen interest in developing your own application skills as well as our SaaS product. You will be working in a growing team developing new services and tools in a MVC / OOPHP / MySQL architecture.
Required skills are: You must have great OO PHP skills to work with our core application and experience of MVC architecture. You will be working and developing in MySQL, Zend, ORM, XML, SOAP.
Other useful experience: UML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Mercurial, Agile techniques, REST/SOAP, performance tuning, DB replication, code refactoring.
If you contribute on open source projects, blog or work with online communities this is an advantage.
You must come with plenty of experience of large scale application development in a LAMP/MVC environment. You must be clever, keen, quality and detail focused and always be working towards the best user experience rather than taking shortcuts. Expect to be constantly re-factoring your work and reviewing how to improve the code base, performance and service level. You will have to like working in a growing company and to work to deadlines.
