Regional Press Adopts MediaEquals Platform. Northcliffe to start Industry move to Transacting Online.....
29/09/2011 - Category: Press releases
Following the successful launch of the MediaEquals outdoor media marketplace earlier this year, Northcliffe Media will transact with all media agencies via the MediaEquals platform from Q1 2012. Newspaper Society welcomes the move towards electronic transaction across the industry.
MediaEquals, the UK’s leading offline media marketplace, is building on the successful launch of its platform for outdoor media earlier in 2011.
MediaEquals builds efficiency into media trading by digitising the booking, reducing admin, improving accuracy and speeding up processes. The platform’s move into regional print media and regional digital media will significantly reduce transaction costs for media agencies, publishers and sales houses at a time when the regional press media industry continues to go through transformational change.
The system offers real time reporting, campaign management and integration into back office systems, meaning efficiency benefits will be seen throughout the value-chain from publisher to agency.
Northcliffe's decision to commit to using MediaEquals followed an 18 month evaluation process initiated by the Newspaper Society to make the buying and selling of regional media more efficient.
Northcliffe Media’s Commercial Director David Roddick said: “MediaEquals allows Northcliffe to provide a better service to agencies and make transactions with us easier to execute. We are delighted to be leading the way by adopting a platform that enhances the regional press sales proposition and reduces the cost of doing business for some of our biggest customers”.
The Newspaper Society’s Marketing Director, Robert Ray said: “The Newspaper Society welcomes adoption by our members of technology such as MediaEquals that will make our medium significantly more efficient for agencies and their clients to transact with".
MediaEquals co founder and CEO Gary Goodman said: “The MediaEquals platform enables regional press sales people to focus on creative selling in place of administrative chores. We are very excited by the opportunity to roll out the service to benefit the whole UK regional press industry in the coming months”.
